Shipping and fulfilment

Some games and accessories have already been sent with the rest being on their way to the various warehouses where your orders will be fulfilled.

The first production copies
We received part of the print run at our Finnish office already. The game looks great! You can see a video where I go over all the components here. Still, it’s a different thing to see hundreds of games with their shrink-wrapped boxes and everything!
All manufacturing has now been completed. Games have arrived in Finland and Germany with the rest being on their way to the US and Australia. We also have to wait for the accessories to arrive so the warehouses can pack and ship all orders at once. See below for delivery estimates by region.
Shipping – United States and Canada
Quartermaster Logistics fulfils the pledges in the United States and Canada. American and Canadian backers should receive their games by the end of December.
Shipping – Australia and New Zealand
Aetherworks fulfils the pledges in Australia and New Zealand. Australian and New Zealander backers should receive their games by the end of December.
Shipping – Finland
Snowdale Design fulfils the pledges in Finland. Orders to backers without accessories (playmats, sleeves, and playmat bags) have already been sent. The rest should receive their games by the end of November.
Shipping – Rest of the world (including Europe)
Happyshops fulfils the pledges in Europe and also the rest of the world. European backers should receive their games by the end of November and everyone else during December.

Production nearing completion

All components for the games and add-ons have been manufactured. We have approved the production samples, so all that is left is assembling the games and shipping them to you.

Approved samples
We received and approved the production samples this week. I made a short video showcasing the samples which you can see below.
Shipping and updated fulfilment estimate
The final stages of manufacturing should be completed within a week or two. After that we will ship the games to our fulfilment partners around the world who will then send the games to you. See below for delivery estimates by region.

Pledge manager closing soon

Mass production is currently underway. Because of that, the pledge manager will close on 31st of August, 21 days from this update.
Survey deadline
Currently, 94 % of you (outside of the 1€ pledge level) have completed your pledge manager survey, and the rest of you have time until the 31st of August (this month) to do so. Remember that we cannot ship you the games unless you complete the survey. This is also your last chance to add playmats, playmat bags, and custom card sleeves to your pledge. You can also alter your pledge and update your address until the deadline. Those of you who have selected credit card as your payment option will be charged on the 31st.
You can complete and edit your pledge on BackerKit by clicking the link in your survey email or by requesting a new link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page. If you cannot get the survey to work or miss the deadline, contact me and I will see what I can do.
Mass production
We approved the final samples and digital proofs a few weeks ago, and all games and accessories (playmats, playmat bags, and card sleeves) are currently in production. We are currently looking to fulfill the pledges between October and December, depending on where you live. I will post more detailed shipping estimates by region in the next project update.

Playmat bags and manufacturing preparation

We have new playmat bags available! Add one to your pledge if you want to carry your playmats in a handy bag with custom Dale of Merchants printing.
Playmat bags
As the playmats do not fit inside the box of Dale of Merchants Collection, a few backers have asked for a way to store and transport them. We have worked with the factory and can now offer custom playmat bags! The bags are made from high-quality canvas fabric and have custom Dale of Merchants printing. Each bag can hold up to 4 playmats and also has a carabiner clip for hanging. The clip is sewn inside the bag so it stays out of the way when not in use.
The playmat bags can now be added to your pledge in the pledge manager. One bag costs 9 euros, or you can get the playmat bundle that includes 4 playmats of your choice and a playmat bag at a discount.

Manufacturing preparation
The mass production of the card sleeves and playmats began this week.
With the games, we are currently going through the manufacturing preparation phase. People at the factory go through the game files and send their versions to us for proofing. They always modify the files a bit to make them suitable for printing. If everything is in order, mass production of the games can start as soon as next week.
We are on schedule. If everything continues to go as smoothly as it has, we should be able to deliver your backer rewards this year. Still, we cannot promise a 2020 delivery yet, as even minor setbacks can cause considerable delays in large productions like this.

Pledge manager surveys
Today, a small percentage of you will get invited to the pledge manager via email for a test run. After we make sure that everything is working as intended, we’ll invite everyone else to the pledge manager in the upcoming days.
The email will include a link to your survey on BackerKit, the pledge manager website. We hope you fill in your surveys in short order, since we need this information to both manufacture the correct number of different items and fulfill your rewards.
On BackerKit’s survey, you’ll be able to upgrade your pledge level, purchase add-ons, and provide your shipping information. After filling out the survey, you can update your responses at any time before we lock them in. Please complete your pledge manager survey by the end of August.
If you want to review your responses or update them, you can do so by clicking the link in your survey email or by requesting a new link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page.
Add-ons
Regardless of your pledge level, you can purchase add-ons. We have all games in the Dale of Merchants series available as well as accessories like playmats and custom card sleeves. You can see a video highlighting the playmats and sleeves below. We also have a handful of Dawn of Peacemakers copies left in our Australian warehouse. Those of you living in Australia or New Zealand can add those games to their pledge.
We’re also exploring the possibility to offer Dale of Merchants themed cloth bags for your playmats. I’ll let you know more after I receive some samples from the factory.
