FAQ: Dale of Merchants 3
For the most up-to-date information about the status of our project, check our project updates on Kickstarter!

Card sleeves? Do the cards fit in the box sleeved?

The box of Dale of Merchants 3 is really small and can barely fit the cards sleeved. However, Dale of Merchants Collection has a custom insert where you can fit all cards in the series sleeved. The game also comes with dividers and other features which make the storage and setup of the game a breeze!

The cards are the so-called bridge size (57 x 89 mm). Check the add-ons for opaque sleeves with a Dale of Merchants print.

Why should I back this now instead of waiting for retail release?

  • The game can only be produced if the campaign is successful. Dale of Merchants 3 will only become reality with your support.

  • You’ll be among the first to get the game. Backers receiving their games is our first priority. This is also your surest way of getting the game as we don’t know which retailers will carry it.

  • The shipping price is low. We have partnered with reliable fulfilment centers around the world to minimise shipping costs.

  • We listen. Make a difference and affect the final product by providing constructive feedback during and after the campaign.

How is the compatibility within the series?

All games in the Dale of Merchants series are compatible with each other. Animalfolk decks can be combined across the games. Dale of Merchants Collection’s box has enough space to store the contents from all other games in the series, even sleeved. Playmats do not fit inside the box.

Can I add other games to my pledge?

Yes. You can do this either during the campaign by manually adjusting your pledge or afterwards in the pledge manager. You can then select the extra games you want in the pledge manager.

Can I support the campaign outside of backing it?

Absolutely! Spreading the word on social media and telling your friends about the game helps a ton. Commenting and giving feedback on the project page and on BoardGameGeek is also appreciated.

Will Dale of Merchants 3 be available in languages besides English?

Yes, at least in German, Dutch, and Hungarian.

As for other languages, we don’t know yet. It’s not as much up to us as it is up to possible foreign licensing partners. If other publishers are interested in the game, it might be released in new languages. We can’t promise anything yet. Previous Dale of Merchants games have been released in multiple languages, so we are hopeful!

This Kickstarter campaign is only for the English version.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
